I actually spent some time a little while back fucking around on AO3 looking at the stats on various tropes.
The thing is, only 7% of the pairing fic on AO3 is tagged F/F, which is obviously it’s own post, but did you know only 4% of the Fake Dating fics are femslash? Same for the Werewolf AUs and the Amnesia fics. And less than 3% of the Soulbond and Robot fics are femslash. For whatever reason, when people go to write F/F they are apparently less likely to write ridiculous trope plots than if they were writing slash or het.
What I’m saying is that such_heights is running a female character trope fest again this year, and it’s currently open for prompts, so if you felt like the world needed more soulbonded amnesiac lesbian werewolves (scientifically proven by the analysis above, btw) that could be a place to check out.
